Will adding air springs increase the Weight Rating of my vehicle?

No. Adding air springs will not change the Weight Rating (GVWR, GCWR, GAWR) of your vehicle. Our air springs simply increase your suspension’s ability to support heavy loads. We strongly recommend that you never exceed your vehicle’s Weight Ratings. Exceeding your vehicle’s rating is dangerous and will void your Air Lift warranty.

Do you have to add an On-Board Air Compressor System to your air springs?

A compressor isn’t required, but it is convenient! An On-Board Air Compressor System allows you to inflate and deflate your air springs on-the-go. Compressors remove the hassle of pulling over or searching for service stations with air pumps. With our onboard compressor system, all adjustments are automatic and made with the touch of a button- all while driving!

How do I get replacement parts?

You can get parts from your dealer, or directly from Air Lift Company. Contact Air Lift via email here or call (800) 248-0892.

Do I always have to keep the air springs inflated? How much pressure do I need?

Yes, you should always maintain the recommended minimum air pressure of 5 PSI, even if your vehicle isn’t loaded. This keeps the air springs “in shape” and able to perform without rubbing or wearing.

How long do air springs last?

Forever! If they are properly installed and maintained, our air springs can last indefinitely. Just check the pressure regularly, or use an on board air system to maintain it for you. Air Lift offers a Lifetime Warranty on all of our air spring kits.

Can air springs raise or lower my vehicle?

No. While adding air can cause your vehicle to ride an inch or two higher, air springs are not designed to raise your vehicle above factory height. If you DO want to lower your vehicle, visit Air Lift Performance, which feature air spring systems designed to replace your existing suspension for lowered stance and higher performance.

My vehicle rides rough. Will adding air springs improve my ride?

Absolutely! Air springs are engineered to increase ride quality when carrying heavy loads and help fatigued springs ride smoothly. Our air springs greatly improve the ride of larger trucks.

Can I use air springs with factory overload springs?

Yes, most of Air Lift’s applications work with overload springs. Find the fit for your vehicle.

Will raising the vehicle on a hoist for service work damage the air springs?

No. The vehicle can be lifted on a hoist for a short-term service work such as tire rotation or oil changes. However, if the vehicle will be on the hoist for a prolonged period of time, support the axle with jack stands in order to take the tension off the air springs.

Will WirelessAIR work with an air tank?
